About Sastra Satsangh

Sastra Satsangh, the newest addition to the ever growing Cultural and Spiritual Centres of Excellence in the historical city of Chennai, came into being on 28th November 2019 with the inauguration of our state of the art Auditorium at Rangarajapuram, Chennai. This initiative has already made its mark in the bustling Chennai City’s Iconic Annual Margazhi Music Season with some dazzling performances by top notch artistes.

The auditorium, built with essential high quality infrastructure and excellent seating capacity, is strategically located near the intersection of two areas, namely Rangarajapuram and Ashok Nagar with excellent connectivity. The 300 seater facility is well equipped to host vocal / instrumental recitals, workshops, lecture demonstrations, etc. Also, we have 4 classrooms to host training sessions on varied subjects.

In-house accommodation facility for guests adds to the splendour of our premises. The long pending desire of Rasikas, living in the vicinity of our premises, for such a classy auditorium in their neighbourhood has finally been fulfilled with this venture of ours.

We firmly believe that our cardinal principle of promoting traditional arts and culture, based on the Sanathana Dharma, will go a long way in not only furthering the cause of committed and established talents but also in honing the interests of young and aspiring artistes. We are confident that Sastra Satsangh will truly become a holistic destination for seekers of Bharathiya Samskaras and Sampradayas.

We have embarked on this journey with a non-profit motive and our avowed objective is to offer free concerts and programmes to all Rasikas for all the programmes that we organise. However, we also welcome other third party event organisers to host their programmes at our premises by adhering to our rules and regulations.

Although our flagship event will be the Annual Margazhi Music Fest, we also have ambitious plans of conducting Kodai Bakthi Thiruvizha, Rama Navami & Janmashtami Events, Navarathri Celebrations, Periodical Nama Sankeerthanams & Upanyasams, etc. going forward.
